What is FaceTite?

Using advanced radiofrequency (RF) technology, FaceTite by InMode is a minimally invasive facial rejuvenation treatment that can provide qualified candidates with exceptional results. Unlike facelift surgery, FaceTite does not require skin excision, and typically only small incisions are needed. This means patients can achieve smoother, younger-looking skin with limited scarring and reduced downtime. The specialized wand used during treatment is designed to apply RF energy to both the surface of the skin, as well as the underlying tissues, leading to collagen production and skin tightening in the targeted region(s) throughout the neck and lower face.

If you think you may be able to benefit from a FaceTite procedure, please do not hesitate to contact our office to learn more or schedule a consultation with our friendly and talented plastic surgeon, Dr. Thomas Lintner.

What Are the Benefits of FaceTite?

FaceTite is often an ideal treatment for individuals looking for a less invasive alternative to facelift surgery. Patients can achieve similar outcomes with minimal scarring and a shorter recovery period. The device administers RF heat both along the surface and subcutaneously to tone and tighten skin in the treatment area for a more youthful appearance. The application of RF energy during a FaceTite procedure is also designed to stimulate collagen production, ultimately improving overall results. Additionally, Dr. Lintner can monitor tissue temperatures throughout treatment via FaceTite’s real-time tracking, helping ensure patient safety.

  • Less downtime, bruising, and pain
  • Smaller incisions and less scarring

Who is a Good Candidate for FaceTite?

Patients in good overall health who are experiencing mild to moderate signs of facial aging in the lower face and/or neck may be considered good candidates for FaceTite. In a consultation with Dr. Lintner, a comprehensive exam can be conducted to help determine if FaceTite is right for you. In some cases, Dr. Lintner may recommend an alternative treatment that can better address your individual needs and concerns, such as BOTOX® injections or traditional facelift surgery.

How is the FaceTite Procedure Performed?

FaceTite enables Dr. Lintner to treat signs of aging by simultaneously applying RF heat to both the the skin’s surface and supporting structures beneath. First, he uses small, strategically placed incisions to insert part of the FaceTite wand beneath the skin. During the procedure, the external portion of the wand distributes RF energy along the surface of the skin to encourage tightening and rejuvenation. Meanwhile, the inserted portion of the device tightens tissues, liquefies fat, and stimulates collagen production through the use of RF energy. The procedure typically takes about one hour, but this can vary depending on the extent of concerns being addressed. FaceTite can be performed in-office under general anesthesia or local anesthesia with nitrous oxide, but additional medications may be used to ensure maximum comfort, if needed. Prior to treatment, Dr. Lintner can provide a more accurate and personalized overview to help you better understand what to expect.

What is FaceTite Recovery Like?

Compared to a traditional facelift, the recovery period after FaceTite is generally shorter. Many patients are able to resume their regular daily routines soon after treatment—however, Dr. Lintner recommends avoiding strenuous activities for approximately two weeks. He can provide you with more specific and personalized post-op instructions prior to your FaceTite procedure. Minimal swelling and/or bruising may occur, but should resolve relatively quickly.

How Long Does FaceTite Last?

Results typically improve over time throughout the 12 weeks following the procedure, but some noticeable rejuvenation can often be seen immediately. Although FaceTite offers many benefits similar to a traditional facelift, results may not last quite as long, by comparison. Both procedures provide significant facial rejuvenation, but future signs of aging can still occur. Depending on a variety of factors (genetics, overall health, environmental factors, self-care, etc.), FaceTite results can usually be maintained for several years. Dr. Lintner’s delicate technique can help improve longevity of results, but he also advises patients to carefully follow aftercare instructions and implement a good skincare routine to maintain a youthful appearance for years to come.
