What is a Brow Lift?

The forehead is often the first area of the face to show aging—as we age, we begin to notice wrinkles and fine lines throughout the upper third of the face. These creases and frown lines can sometimes make people look angry, tired, or even sad. A brow lift can smooth and tighten the skin in the forehead area for a more youthful and revitalized appearance. This procedure can also often address the delicate skin around the eyes, as well as in the midface area. Each brow lift procedure performed by plastic surgeon Dr. Thomas Lintner is customized to meet the individual needs of his patients, ensuring the best possible outcome.

What Are the Benefits of a Brow Lift?

A brow lift can refresh the face for a reinvigorated look. Other benefits of the procedure include:

  • Reduction in creases and wrinkles in the forehead region
  • Correction of drooping eyebrows
  • Can be combined with a facelift for more comprehensive rejuvenation
  • Minimizes vertical lines between the eyebrows
  • Tightening of loose, sagging skin throughout the upper third of the face
  • Creates a more rested and vibrant appearance

Dr. Lintner takes a conservative approach to the brow lift procedure for natural-looking results that highlight his patients’ natural beauty.

LOVE LOVE LOVE. Best plastic surgeon I have ever had. I would never see anyone else as long as he is in practice. I would and do recommend him all the time. Everyone in the practice is WONDERFUL.Valerie

How is Brow Lift Surgery Performed?

There are two methods most often utilized for brow lift surgery, but Dr. Lintner also employs a third technique that enables him to more precisely personalize treatment and address each patient’s unique needs. The three methods used at our practice include traditional, endoscopic, and Dr. Lintner’s extended brow lift. During your consultation, in addition to conducting a detailed examination, Dr. Lintner can review each technique’s benefits and limitations—depending on your individual concerns and goals, he can then recommend the approach that should yield the most ideal outcome for you.

Brow lift surgery is performed as an outpatient surgery. Although scars are usually fairly minimal, Dr. Lintner strategically places incisions beyond the hairline, helping to ensure that any visible scarring is easily concealed beneath your hair. The incision pattern will depend on the specific technique being used.

What is Brow Lift Recovery Like?

Patients are typically able to return home a few hours after their brow lift procedure. While there may be some mild swelling and bruising, this should resolve over time (ice packs can help reduce these effects, as well). Any additional discomfort can be managed with pain medications. Most patients heal relatively quickly, but strenuous activity should be avoided for at least a week after surgery. Specific post-op instructions will be provided to ensure proper healing. Dr. Lintner is available to his patients throughout their recovery, in the event that any concerns arise.

How Can I Get a Non-Surgical Brow Lift?

Non-surgical brow rejuvenation is possible using BOTOX® Cosmetic. During the non-surgical brow lift procedure, BOTOX® is carefully injected into specific facial muscles, causing them to relax and allowing the brows to lift naturally. This method produces a more youthful, well-rested appearance without the downtime or risks associated with surgery. However, it’s important to note that the results are temporary, typically lasting 3-4 months. The effects are also typically less dramatic compared to a surgical brow lift, and regular maintenance treatments are necessary to sustain the lifted appearance.

How Much Does a Brow Lift Cost?

According to statistics from the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS), the average cost for a brow lift is $4,282*. That said, this is merely a rough estimate that does not account for many of the additional fees associated with the procedure. During your personal consultation with Dr. Lintner, he can review your medical history and aesthetic goals in order to develop a custom treatment plan. From there, our team can give you a customized price quote that incorporates anesthesia fees, surgeon and facility fees, and other potential factors that influence cost.
