Stress, exposure to the sun, the natural aging process, and gravity can all affect the appearance of the face, making people appear older than they really are (or at least than they want to admit). Despite all of the promises made in infomercials, nothing can stop the aging process. However, patients can use eyelid surgery, browlift surgery or a face lift performed by Dr. Thomas Lintner to lessen some of the signs of aging. It’s important to know the face is generally divided into thirds: face, eyes and brow and all should be addressed individually and as a group. At your consultation, Dr. Lintner will help you best decide based on your concerns which area should be addressed.
In addition to the information below, Dr. Lintner has provided his insights into liposculpting, eyelid surgery, dermabrasion, rhinoplasty, browlift, and other facial procedures that he offers. Patients in the Atlanta, Marietta, and Woodstock area who are interested in a face lift or other facial cosmetic surgery should read Dr. Lintner’s thoughts on the facial rejuvenation procedures he offers. Please contact us for more information, or to schedule a consultation.
A browlift, also referred to as a forehead lift, generally addresses the upper third of your face. There are traditional browlifts, and endoscopic assisted brow lifts. We use a yet a third approach to the brow in our practice, using slightly larger incisions in the hair, we can also, if needed address the mid face with the browlift. When patients discuss face lifts and browlifts with Dr. Lintner, he outlines what makes the endoscopic browlift one of his favorite procedures. He also discusses the pros and cons of the endoscopic browlift as they relate to an individual patient and he assists patients in their decision regarding treatment.
Otoplasty, most commonly referred to as ear pinning, is usually performed on children and adolescents, but adults can also benefit from the surgery. During the procedure, Dr. Lintner will reform the ear’s cartilage to reduce the protrusion of a patient’s ears.
Sometimes the bone structure of a patient’s face may create the appearance of a “weak” chin. In the chin augmentation procedure, implants are used to create a balance among a patient’s facial features.
